About Me

Gordon Jones, PhD, is a Board Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family counseling and maintains a private practice in Lubbock, Texas.

With over 24 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of Texas Tech University, he is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, and relationship issues with couples and families.

Gordon has presented at American Counseling Association National conferences, Texas Counseling Association State conferences, and to general audiences on topics ranging from ethics to private practice.

Gordon is a practical, faith-based counselor. His treatment approach is to invite clients to integrate their faith into the counseling process. He provides tested psychological principles to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. He blends conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, he works with each client to integrate their faith into the change process and build on their strengths to identify and achieve their personal life goals.
